An Indian-style glamping tent is a semi-permanent resort tent that looks like a traditional tipi but works like a luxury hotel room. Aluminum frame, tensioned PVC canopy, draped fabric ceiling, and a peaked roof that sheds rain and wind. This Singapore resort installed 15 units — a mix of multi-peak event tents and single-peak tipi suites — and turned a beach into a fully functional glamping retreat.

The Structure: Peak Roof, No Rust
The frame is aluminum alloy with a wood-grain finish that looks like dark timber up close. The peaked roof splits wind and sheds rain straight into the gutter — no pooling. Tents sit on elevated modular decks about a foot off the sand, keeping groundwater out even when high tide creeps close. Multi-peak tents here ran 6×12 meters — the size of a proper wedding reception hall. Single-peak suites came in 6x6m and 5x5m versions for guest accommodation. See our wedding tent planning guide for layout tips.

The Canvas: Breathes, Glows, Lasts
Two layers of PVC fabric: a tensioned outer skin that sheds tropical downpours, and a draped inner liner that glows when lit from behind. The arched side openings let sea breeze pass through — no greenhouse effect. Some units swapped solid walls for clear PVC panels, turning the ocean-facing side into a floor-to-ceiling window. Over multiple monsoon seasons, the fabric held its color, seams stayed sealed, and the tents breathed. Browse our wedding marquee collection for similar setups.

Singapore Setup: 15 Units, 14 Days
The venue runs three configurations side by side. Multi-peak 6x12m for beachfront dining and wedding receptions — 80 guests seated, room for a dance floor and DJ. Single-peak 6x6m as premium suites with king beds, lounge chairs, and ensuite bathrooms. Compact 5x5m units for couples or overflow when a wedding books the whole property.

Full installation took about two weeks — no concrete, no heavy permits, just ground screws and pre-cut modular parts. A crew of three can stand up one unit in under two hours. Learn why venues choose us for semi-permanent resort structures.
FAQ
Q: Can these tents handle beach storms?
The aluminum frame and steep roof split wind and shed rain. The Singapore site sits on an open beach and has been through multiple monsoon seasons with zero issues.
Q: Lead time from order to operational?
4–6 weeks manufacturing, about 14 days on site for a 15-unit mixed installation with a 3-person crew.
Q: Can I mix different tent sizes on one property?
Yes — the frame system is modular across all sizes. Wedding venues typically run 2–3 multi-peak tents for ceremony and reception, then fill the property with single-peak suites.
